The singer posed as Michelle Obama alongside look-alikes of first daughters Sasha and Malia for a Glamour magazine photo shoot.
“She has worked hard for everything she’s accomplished, and done so with grace and humility. So many women and girls can identify with her story,” Alicia said of the first lady.
In the photograph, Alicia is wearing a blue Carolina Herrera dress, a black Michael Kors belt, Miriam Haskell necklace and black Christian Louboutin shoes.
Glamour magazine's 70th Anniversary/American Icons issue hits newsstands March 10.

I am true african american, as my mother hails from Cape Verde and my father from Ghana, I was born in Atlanta. I think black americans should just be called 'black' as most of them don't really like us true africans , its in the schools and colleges, . Anyway, I think that its great Obama is president, but I think that the black community and I mean the celebrities should stop trying to make out through publicity, clothing with slogans, photoshoots such as A Keys thay they are friendly with the obamas, I do not like that. The difference is the obamas, like my self and may other non celebrities are educated people. And I think the association to artisits, actors, rappers and the like is not that good. As what got obama to power was not his colour, but his education and background. I think obama got to power because he is not a product of the 'black' slave trade. I can imagine that he would have conducted ancestry findings on his wife whist he was running for presidency, I not sure, but an educated guess he should have. Any back to my point,; becuase his father was from the mother land and obam knew who he was, i'e he knows where his forefathers orginated from, he could stand up, be counted and run for president. It would have never worked for a 'african american' who has ancestors who were slaves because, the public, the white public would not vote for them.
I keep telling my young ones, that its great obam is there because now they can see in the public eye that not all black men are rich or famous for sport, music or acting. Yes there are many self made millionaires etc, but they are in in the public eye, and now maybe the kids can have more ambition than just playing football, baseball, rapping etc.
As for illiterate celebrities all chummig up to the obamas I think they need to keep their distance, because it speaks, for it self, Ivy if your black, mixed or non white, only education will get you the white house, and if you happen to have a parent or two who did not work on the plantations, that would be a bonus. It think in conclusion it will take another 200 years before a black american who has born in the USA from a family of slaves become the president of the USA.
Black kids in USA have more chance if their parents are from africa directly or thier parents are from africa directly and were not product of the slave trade. As a black american, I am upset at the slave trade, but not as much as my husband who does not know which part of africa he hails from because his family were slaves. He suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because if this, he does not know where he is from, even tracing cannot help,so I think all blacks are different.the ones who know who they are and the ones who are lost.
If anyone should have posed it hould have been a lady who resembles michelle obama. At least the child models were on point.
