Chris Brown Removes Name from Kids' Choice Awards

"The Insider" confirms musician Chris Brown has reportedly removed his name from Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards ballot.

"Chris Brown has decided to withdraw his nominations from the Kids' Choice Awards. We agree with and respect his decision, and are looking forward to presenting a great event for our audience," Nickelodeon said in a statement.

Brown's nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song for "Kiss Kiss" came shortly before his arrest in the alleged attack on pop star Rihanna, who is also nominated for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song for "Don't Stop the Music."

Rihanna made her first Los Angeles appearance this morning when she was seen leaving L.A. hot spot Coco de Ville.

  • What if he doesn't do it again, what of your marked words? Him assaulting Rihanna and Kelly Bensimon assaulting her beau, it's not indicative of gender issues, it's a rage issue in our society where we heap physical and mental abuse on each other, supposedly to prop ourselves up, even attacking victims who stick with and try to work out with their abusers. As for their acceptance of their actions, what level of national public acknowledgment will please the masses to what end?

  • Chris Brown and Kelly Bensimon are examples of people who have issues, whether childhood, peer influences, or heads out of touch with reality due to their celebrity, and need to get their acts together, get counseling and get right, because they are the people they allow themselves to be, not what everybody labels them, nor what their childhoods or money brought them, and no matter are support or hate, they'll have to live with themselves each and everyday. Sad that so many people added their partners to bashing because of gender or decisions to work out their issues. Violence is wrong man on woman, woman on man, adult on child, etc, especially the mental abuse we heap on each other. Leave the fighting to the professionals.
