Man Blown Up Making Tom Hanks-Julia Roberts Movie!!
A special effects assistant was blown to pieces by a stinger missile on the set of a Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts flick. (Well, not pieces but pretty bad!) The FX guy was testing the missile in an airline hanger just south of downtown LA. The missile exploded, and now the guy is hanging out at St. Francis Medical. The guy is undergoing serious surgery.

The film is called Charlie Wilson’s War, a story about a congressman who made some super secret deals with the Soviets. The missile was to be launched from a helicopter over LA this weekend. Oops. No word from Hanks or Roberts over the incident.
