  • wow...people...get a clue! YES, there IS a "Runaway" comic adaption movie coming....there IS ALSO a movie based on the rock (not punk) group "the Runaways"......that being said.....Kristen Stewart might actually do a good job......BUT...Dakota Fanning is not built nearly like Cherie Currie AT ALL!!! these chics (and i stress "chics" 'cuz that's what they would prefer) were edgy in the 70s because of the outfits they wore and what they sang about.....it's a pedophile's wet dream, but somehow, it still happened........if you look at those old pics of the band, you will see that Cherie Currie was very buxom and NOT skinny in any way.....she wore leather and lace and did not leave much to the imagination.....i've seen the pics of the upcoming movie and Dakota Fanning does not have it AT ALL!!! this might be bad, but then again, it's MTV.....'member when they actually played music on their channel?????

  • Hopefully this can fully clarify everything for everybody. I see there's a lot of controversy in the comments about what the movie is based off.

    This article is in fact based off an all girl band back in the 70s and the life they led.

    There is a seperate movie also known as Runaways (2011) that will feature characters from the award winning marvel comic The Runaways. However, this article was not intended for that movie.

  • Yes there is a marvel comics runaways but in the 70's there was an all girl punk group with the same name. Joan Jett was in the group. the reason they may call it Neon Angels is because the lead singer wrote a Bio on the band with the same name.
