Richardson hurt her head while skiing at Mont Tremblant and was taken to Centre Hospitalier Laurentien, People.com reports.
The 45-year-old actress was transferred at 5 p.m. to Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, says People.
Richardson's husband, actor Liam Neeson, rushed to be with his wife after learning of her accident. A rep for Neeson's latest movie, 'Chloe,' which is currently filming in Toronto, told "The Insider," "Producers confirm that Liam Neeson immediately left the Toronto set of 'Chloe' for Montreal upon news of his wife's accident. At this time, the film will continue with its production schedule focusing on scenes which feature other cast members."
The Tony-winner is the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave, and Richardson and Neeson have two sons Micheal and Daniel.
