Ron Silver Dies of Esophageal Cancer at 62

Actor Ron Silver has sadly lost his battle with esophageal cancer at the age of 62. On Sunday, March 15, 2009, he passed away surrounded by his family, according to his friend Robin Bronk. Bronk said:

“Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him this morning. He had been fighting esophageal cancer for two years and his family is making arrangements for a private service.”

Ron is probably remembered by most in his recurring role of Bruno Gianelli, the presidential campaign adviso on The West Wing.

He is survived by his son, Adam, and daughter, Alexandra.

R.I.P. Ron!
