Portia de Rossi Talks Baby Bumps

Sounds like this is one rumor that can be put to rest - for now.

Newlywed Portia de Rossi tells the LA Times: “How this IVF rumor started, I really, really have no idea. But I can tell you that it is definitely not happening in the near future .”

Not that she and Ellen DeGeneres, 51, have ruled it out entirely. The Arrested Development star definitely seems open to the idea of motherhood.

“Believe me, I think motherhood would be amazing and exciting and wonderful,” she says. “But it isn’t really something that’s on the immediate horizon for us.”

Far from being bothered by the constant baby speculation, Portia, 36, says she thinks it is a good sign. “It’s great that Ellen and I are a gay couple and people are open-minded enough to talk about us having a family.”

She does have one concern, though: “I just don’t want those horrible pictures in magazines where they circle your stomach and point and go ‘baby bump!’ ”

Portia makes her return to the small screen as her new series Better Off Ted premieres on ABC tonight!
