In "Northern Lights," Nate Burns heads north to Alaska in "Northern Lights," a TV movie based on the Nora Roberts novel by the same name. He is looking to put his past behind him -- a past in which his partner on the Baltimore, MD, police force was killed and for which he feels partially responsible -- and start a new life.
As the new sheriff in the remote Alaskan town of Lunacy, he meets Meg Galligan (Rimes) and falls in love, but love is put on hold when the body of Meg's father – who had gone missing 16 years earlier -- is discovered frozen in a mountain cave. What was thought to be a case of abandonment turns out to be murder -- and Nate has to put his detective skills to work on a 16-year-old cold case to find a killer and win the woman who has won his heart.
'Northern Lights" premieres Saturday, March 21 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime Television.
