Rachel Griffiths laments work schedule, lack of free time

Actress Rachel Griffiths is taking a much-needed break in her native Australia from the California set of her hit television show Brothers and Sisters.  In a new interview, Rachel -- mom to 3-year-old Banjo Patrick and 23-month-old Adelaide Rose, her children with artist husband Andrew Taylor -- said her work schedule is "intense" and that the trip home while the show is on hiatus couldn't have come at a better time.

I am reeling...I think next year I have to find a way to stay a bit healthier.  It's a hard slog and and as any working mother knows, you are just getting drained in all directions.

When Brothers and Sisters is shooting, Rachel said she routinely works 60- to 70-hour work weeks; Whatever time is left -- however scarce -- is devoted to Banjo and Adelaide.

I do no exercise.  I have no personal trainer because I feel too guilty.  I have an hour with my kids, so it's like:  Am I going to stay with the kids and play the dragon game in the garden or am I going to go off with Charlie and work on my abs?  I am afraid the dragons win.
