Natasha Richardson was brought home on Saturday for her family to begin saying their final goodbyes.

The actress' remains were transported by hearse to her family estate in Millbrook, New York, the area where reports say a private funeral will take place.

"The Insider" was on the ground in New York City earlier on Saturday as pallbearers carried Richardson's coffin from the American Irish Historical Society -- the site of last night's wake -- to the hearse outside.

On Friday evening, "The Insider" was also on hand as guests such as Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick left the wake along with other close friends and family members of Richardson's.

The Tony Award-winning actress and wife of Liam Neeson passed away on Wednesday following a skiing accident earlier in the week. She was 45.
