Loved ones of actress Natasha Richardson assembled for a private funeral service near her family estate in upstate New York.

Richardson's husband Liam Neeson was one of the pallbearers who carried his wife's casket into St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Millbrook, NY. Among the celebrities spotted in the crowd were Ralph Fiennes, Holly Hunter, Uma Thurman and Laura Linney. 

A burial ceremony was then held under a tent constructed at the nearby St. Peter's Cemetery, where Richardson was laid to rest. Family members attending the service included her mother Vanessa Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson and two sons, Micheal and Daniel. 

The services on Sunday brought to a close a tragic week in which the Tony Award-winning actress passed away at the age of 45 following a skiing accident in Canada on Monday.

  • God bless Natashs for every beautiful things that she have brought to everyone. Mostly her loving and shear that she think that it was really important to all. She was a really great actress and i love her very much as my own sister. I hope that she is resting right now and we should be happy that she is done and now she don't have anything to worrie about. For Liam you are one great husband and a father for the that you and Natasha have. I am sure will all miss her but we should all remember that she will always in our hearts and mostly for the husband and her sons.   • I want to say that good luck to Natasha family also her husband and the two beautiful son that they have. Thank God or everything and what he has think that is going to be the best for Natasha and we should all know that she will be always in our heart, mostly for her husband and the kids that whenever you guys need her she will always be there. Weather she not with you guys in person she is always there with her tears running down her eyes. What I can believe is that she is really gone and I miss her very much she was like a sister to me. I always want to meet her but i was to late because i still have to work to have money to become a singer and a superstar to meet her in person. That all I am going to say good for the husband, the kids, her mother and her sisters also friend and relative. love you Guys God bless Elisa

  • omg,this is so sad! I wish this did never happend! she was such a great actress with so much talent! Meryl's family and Natasha's where very close friends, and I hope that Meryl are okey.. or ofc she's not this is very sad and Meryl's probobley thinking about it a lot..and ofc I feel sorry for all Natashas's friends,college and family and everyone else that knew her.   • As to be seen in the above photograph (to the right), another pallbearer was Franco Nero, father of Vanessa Redgrave's son Carlo.
    My heart goes out to the family. What a waste!
