Kiefer Sutherland On for Another '24'

ET confirms that Kiefer Sutherland will be returning for an eighth season on FOX's hit counterterrorism drama '24.'

Sutherland, 42, has been nominated for an Emmy and won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of special agent Jack Bauer on the show, which each season takes
viewers on an action-packed ride during episodes spanning a consecutive 24-hour period. The series is currently in its seventh season and is set to start
shooting its eighth in May.

"If I was going to liken '24' to a girlfriend, '24' has been really good to me. And I need to be really good back," Sutherland tells Associated Press about  his long association with the show.

Sutherland, whose voice can also be heard in the new blockbuster animation flick 'Monsters vs. Aliens,' said the show's longevity will hinge on the writers' ability to come up with new and exciting story lines. "The real pressure is placed on the writers. It's a real question about how much they feel they can give and what they can do," he told AP.

  • 24 without Keifer as Jack Bauer would be like Eddie Bauer without the Bauer. Just not the same! 24 is the best action packed tv drama of all time!
