Heroes Hits All-Time Low... Again

Sadly, this is scarcely even news anymore.

A record-low number of viewers tuned in for last night's new episode of Heroes. It was only watched by 6.5 million people.

This is the second time in three episodes that the series ha an all-time low. We've asked before and we'll ask again:

How would you fix the show in order to increase its viewership?

Like Mohinder in this scene, Heroes is in a lot of pain these days.

  • Yeeeeah..... Not good. I have a new slogan they can use. "Heroes, because we think you're an idiot."
The ONLY fun this show provides is if you predict inane, obvious dialogue as a drinking game. So sad.

  • This scene is a perfect exampe. Mohinder isnt that stupid. He suppose to be the smart guy in the group. But yet he walks right into the trap...
Makes me not care if they catch him

  • 1. Either kill everyone or at least put every character on hiatus, and recast the entire show with all new actors and create all new characters. Then if the show is still around for another season you can reintroduce some characters.
    2. Ditch the "no spandex" rule. Its a show about superheroes!
    3. Emulate what Joss whedon did with BTVS and tie all loose ends at the end of every season. Pretend that every season is the last one.
    4. Hire more comic book writers.

  • Doesn't need fixing right now -- the last few episodes are on the upswing.

  • This is probably one of the stupidest TV shows on the air. The creators think the audience can't hang with smart dialogue and storylines, and that's why nobody cares anymore. Because Heroes is too dumb for most Americans.

  • Reboot the entire series. All new characters. All new cast. Let Bryan Fuller work his magic. Plan the entire season in advance. I gave up in the fall and it was a great relief. I care nothing about any of these characters anymore.

  • I have hung in with this show because even in through dark times it has so much potential, and I just have to say...
This week's ep was the BEST recovery I have seen yet. I finished it really looking forward to next week for the first time since season one.

    Some reasons why:
There is a clear enemy , special effects were awesome...the Ice Lady's blink-so chillng.
Hiro with a baby backpack and a wheelbarrow=whimsical and funny.
Missed Sylar, however at least HRG didn't dumb it down for us with anything like, "I'm a morally ambiguous guy".
And FINALLY the cheesy Parkman/Speed Girl romance had ended, thank God.
This is a show I will watch live next week and not just on TiVo.
