Final Idol: Jordin Sparks is the Winner
We were hoping that Ryan Seacrest would just cut to the chase– instead he dragged out American Idol for over two hours. Way to go, Seacrest.

Looks like it was talent over beatboxing and argyle sweaters, with Jordin winning the big show. At just 17, this girl has arrived, yet her weepy final song made us glad the whole season is over.

Will this be the last we hear of Blake? Idol history is spotty for the runner-ups. Will he go the way of Clay Aiken or Katharine McPhee – or fade away like Diana DeGarmo or Justin Guarini (whatever happened to that guy anyway)?

We’ve got to give a little credit for the finale star power. Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Green Day (figure that one out), and BeBe and CeCe Winans. Plus it was nice to see this season’s finalists and relive the good (Melinda), the bad (Sanjaya) and everyone in between.
