Baha Men is the name of a pop group that plays an updated style of Bahamian folk music called Junkanoo. The group's debut, Junkanoo, was released in 1992, and was very traditional in its sound. They soon began aiming their music at a more mainstream audience, however, and finally succeeded with 2000's remake of Who Let the Dogs Out? originally composed by Anslem Douglas; although they faded back into obscurity soon thereafter. Their most recent album was Holla! from 2004.

Baha Men was also won a Grammy Award in 2000 for Best Dance Recording for "Who Let the Dogs Out?". In the same year they won a Billboard Music Award for World Music Artist of the Year and World Music Album of the Year. In 2002 they won a Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Award for Favorite Band and Favorite Song.

A Bit of Trivia:
  • Anslem Douglas, and original Baha Men member, Stephen Nunez, were sued in 2001 and lost the lawsuit with regards to full authorship for the song "Who Let the Dogs Out?" The chorus was originally composed by Patrick Stephenson and Leroy Williams in 1995 of Just Platinum Recording Studios/Action House Studios in Toronto, Canada for a radio jingle. It was proven at this time Anslem was a client of the studio, and had used the chorus to compose the song. The lawsuit was settled with an undisclosed financial payment.
