'The Bachelor' Update: Jason Visits Molly's Hometown

After a shocking and controversial end to this season on "The Bachelor," are Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney still going strong?

"Molly and I are happy," Jason tells People.com.

Recently he flew to her hometown near Milwaukee, where he met her friends ("They all gave him the stamp of approval!" Molly says) and learned some new Midwest expressions, including "grilling out."

"I've learned new terminology," he says with a laugh about the common expression for barbecuing. "It's normal, right, to say 'grilling out'?" Molly replies with a smile.

Right now the two are still trying to find time to get to know one another despite the distance between them. "I'm headed out to Seattle in a couple of weeks," Molly says. "I'm excited to just spend some time with [Jason's son] Ty outside of the cameras and production."

  • This long distance relationship will never last unless one of them pretty quickly decides to move to the others state....in this case it will have to be Molly because Jason won't make the sacrifice. Mark my words, this relationship is doomed!

  • Melissa is the biggest fake. boo hoo poor melissa......now she's cashing in on sympathy. Kudos to Jason for not pretending to be in love...better to find out now instead of being married a few years. Wow like no one out there has even made a mistake...

  • Jason, you saw Molly's eyes from the beginning. Melissa was a fake, just chatty to say the right thing, but she was not honest. On Dancing, you can see the REAL Milissa, The GRIN. Molly is the true, real love for you.

  • Regarding comments about "how mean Jason was" to dump Melissa on national TV...from what I have understood, he was obligated under contract to to it that way if he changed his mind...am I correct? Give the guy a break...she was too giddy for him...

  • Just so we are clear, Jason did not break up with Melissa in public. It was a closed set and it was ABC that in the end decided to air the tape.
