President Recalls Sasha's Health Scare

Though she's healthy now, President Obama revealed that daughter Sasha had a health scare that forever changed his outlook on the health industry.

During Thursday's White House Internet town-hall meeting, the President said "our little precious pea" was hospitalized with life-threatening meningitis at just three months old.

"The doctors did a terrific job," he said. "But frankly it was the nurses that were there with us when she had to get a spinal tap, and all sorts of things that were just bringing me to tears."

The now 7-year-old Sasha recovered from the ordeal, but her father says it made a lasting impression. "I'm biased toward nurses," he said. "I just like nurses."
