Matthew McConaughey is on the case for his newest legal acting role. The actor is set to star as a low-level criminal defense attorney, Mickey Haller, in the thriller 'The Lincoln Lawyer,' Variety reports.
In the film, McConaughey's character, Haller, represents a wealthy client who is connected to a murder case that Haller once handled.
McConaughey also played a lawyer in the 1996 film 'A Time to Kill.'
'The Lincoln Lawyer' is based on a book by the same name written by Michael Connolly.
The actor's latest film 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' has him starring alongside leading lady Jennifer Garner and is set to his theaters May 1.
