You didn't hear this from us, but sources say that Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford could be making his move to snatch up the lead role in the new Footloose, now that musical master Zac Efron has dropped out.
According to E! Marc Malkin, Chace tested for the role originally played by Kevin Bacon, and an insider said, "He did really well."
I can see it -- Chace is a little more broody than Zac, which is fitting, but can the Gossip guy sing and dance? We shall see...
