Okay, is this the one April Fool's Day joke I'll fall for?

I've been doing pretty good today at not falling for all the fake news stories people have been writing about today.  I've been sorta nervous about posting something as a serious story and then finding out that ha ha, the joke's on me.

This story I'm not sure about.

It's being reported that to go along with his own brand of beer that he's going to be launching, he's also bought - for an undisclosed amount of mulah - the naming rights to the ball park that the Detroit Tigers call home.  Right now it's called Comerica Park but will be renamed Kid Rock Field.

In a statement on his site, Kid Rock said, "This has been a dream of mine for a long time." "And with the banks in trouble it seemed like the right time for me to reach out to the fine people at Comerica Bank."

"I've never been more excited for opening day, and I'm proud to be able to add my name to the legacy of my favorite baseball team."

So fact or fiction?  I guess we'll know tomorrow once this damn "holiday" is over.
