"The Insider" confirms that one of Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller-Sheen's newborn sons, Max, has been released from the hospital.

A rep for the actor tells "The Insider" that baby Max was released from the hospital several days ago, saying, "He is fine, he made weight and went home."

"Premature babies are often underweight. Max made weight and went home," Sheen's rep tells us. "It's frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of 'Two and a Half Men' (which is going on hiatus), so Charlie will be able to spend some quality time with his kids."

Max will join his twin brother Bob at home. The twin boys were born on March 14.
