"Samantha Who?" star Christina Applegate was photographed smoking Wednesday in Los Angeles and now a source is telling "The Insider" the story behind the photo.

 

"Christina had been a smoker for quite some time," the source says. "She stopped smoking when she received her health news last year, but as everyone knows it's a difficult to break an addictive smoking habit. Considering all the stress she's had over the years, she had that occasional weak moment which has led to the occasional cigarette. We need to remember she's only human."

    I think that is completely disrespectful of you to talk about Christina Applegate like that. You are nothing but a pervert. She has been through alot of stuff as of late. With her cancer and her ex dying. Not many people can go and continue with their jobs when something like this happens to them. Most people wish to just give up and not have to deal with anything anymore because of it and become extremely depressed. So lay off will ya? If she smokes that's her choice not anyone else's though I don't think it's smart but hey it's not my body so I don't judge.

  • I completely understand her having trouble quiting.my sister recently passed from lung cancer, and even after being diagnosied could not stop smoking. i watched her go quickly annd still smoke.it is an addiction people. quiting is easier said then done. keep trying christina . you can do it.

  • Breast cancer and smoking are now linked. Do a search to find the information published recently. Christina is in the public eye and really should be careful about having a pity-party on the streets of LA. when she's aware that paparazzi are everywhere. I'm an ex-smoker with breast cancer and I can't imagine lighting up ever again. If Christina wants to kill herself (which is what she's doing by smoking), she should do it in private like everyone else.

  • I too am a breast cancer survivor and continue to smoke. After watching the 5 women on my mother's side of the family die of cancer, none of them smoked or drank, and I have outlived 2 of them. Who knows why.

  • Hmmm...the stone throwers policing the smokers...how many cancers are triggered by carcinogeous preservatives? How many cancer survivors are still eating high fat diets at McDonalds? How many obese and diabetic people are still continuing their bad habits? Why aren't the cell phone cameras targeting cancer survivors and others who are abusing their diets?? Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
