Cheryl Cole advised to keep her accent if she goes to the US!

Here’s an interesting headline that caught our eye on a very quiet day news wise. Cheryl Cole the, Girls Aloud and X Factor TV personality and Mount Kilimanjaro conqueror, who is rumoured to be appearing in the States on TV possibly in the future which now looks to be fact, has been advised to “keep her accent” and not drop it, if she wants to crack the US market. But she looks set to be taking elocution lessons under Simon Cowells guide with a voice coach, as apparently Americans have trouble understanding UK regional accents, according to the Metro newspaper.

Photo above is a candid “the moment” style photo of Cheryl Cole, a bit different from the usual taken 9 March with L-R Denise Van Outen, Cheryl Cole and Alysha Dixon when they arrived back in the UK at RAF Northolt after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Comic Relief.

Tricky subject this accents, we think if Cheryl lost her accent, you would also lose the girl, she’s proud of her Newcastle roots and all her fans and we love her accent. Talking standard English is like saying adios to your roots, and roots are important no matter how famous you are.

Not exactly a major headline in the celebrity scheme of things but its a major one for Cheryl and her fans, we”ll be listening out for this lady and we’ll be watching for any changes!
