David Beckham was set to become knighted in the UK; however, some government officials are now trying to block Beckham from receiving UK's highest honor. One source says, "Some officials feel that there is nothing wrong with honoring a player who is based in Europe and free to represent his country if required, but feel there is a big difference if the same player is earning his main income and paying tax in the United States and unable to play for England." So pretty much the UK is upset that Beckham decided to take the Hollywood money and all it has to offer rather than play for a sub-par English Premier League team. [source, pic source]
