Big Time Actor Johnny Depp Shoots Tiny Car Scene

New Pics! Johnny Depp is on the set of his new film 'The Rum Diary' in Puerto Rico, and some scenes call for a tiny, blue car!

In the pictures, the actor's face and knuckles are bloody and the car's windshield is broken.

'The Rum Diary' -- based on a book by the late Hunter S. Thompson -- has Johnny playing freelance journalist Paul Kemp, who is a writer for a neglected newspaper in Puerto Rico.

Johnny also played a journalist in the 1998 psychedelic film 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,' which was an adaptation of  another Thompson book of the same name.
