Earlier this week Ashton Kutcher challenged television news network CNN to a race to see who would be the first to reach one million followers on Twitter, read on to find out who came out on top!

 

Late Thursday night Ashton reached the one million followers mark. Streaming live from his home Ashton received support from his wife Demi Moore, "Punky Brewster" star Soleil Moon Frye, and also received a phone call from Sean "Diddy" Combs.

The actor wrote on his Twitter that if he won the war against CNN, he would donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day.

CNN later responded that they would match Ashton's charitable donation if they beat the actor.

Shortly after Ashton's victory CNN congratulated and recognized him as the first Twitter member to reach 1 million followers.
