The son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett may be able to avoid jail time regarding drug offenses.

"The Insider" can confirm that Redmond O'Neal pleaded no contest on two drug-related offenses, and a Los Angeles judge referred his case to a drug court, if he is eligible. He is set to be sentenced on April 30, and remains in custody without bail.

While the judge gave Redmond the possibility of going to rehab for a fourth time, he also warned him that he will go to jail if he fails, according to the Associated Press.

The AP reported that Redmond told the judge that he is ashamed of his recent relapses and is motivated by his mother’s poor health to kick his drug habit. He told the court that Fawcett, who is battling cancer, currently weighs only 86 pounds.
