Hurley’s Monsoon Wedding

Elizabeth Hurley is all set to wed Indian textile magnate Arun Nayar at an elaborate ceremony covering two continents.

The festivities begin in Gloucestershire, England, on March 3rd and continue with a six-day Indian celebration in Udaipur and Mumbai. Women are being asked to wear pink saris while men will be outfitted in orange tunics and turbans — all available for purchase at the shop Hurley has so thoughtfully opened at the Hilton Towers Hotel in Mumbai.

It’s a dress code invitee Elton John is sure to love . . . and one former best friend Victoria Beckham will happily miss.

Rumor has it that Posh and Liz have had a major falling out after Beckham learned that Hurley had been saying nasty things about her looks and weight and divulging sensitive personal information behind her back.

Also on the “questionable” list are Hurley’s former flame Hugh Grant and his girlfriend, heiress Jemima Khan. Although Hurley and Grant remain close friends, Hurley enraged Khan by sucking on Grant’s fingers at a party last summer.

That Khan must have great karma, because it looks like Hurley’s about to be majorly upstaged.

Turns out two of India’s hottest stars are also getting married in March. The union of movie star Abhishek Bachchan and actress/former Miss World Aishwarya Rai has captured India’s hearts — and their attention.

If this were a Hollywood movie, Hurley would redeem herself and recapture the spotlight.

But this is Bollywood, and at this point the best Hurley can hope for is rain.
