Bill Murray Accidentally Hits Woman' Head With Golf Ball

Bill Murray accidentally hit a woman on the head with a golf ball. The actor's over-zealous swing saw his ball fly out of bounds into a local backyard, where it caught Tampa Bay golf course resident Gayle DiMaggio - and despite being taken to hospital over the incident, Gayle insists the star was "great."

She said: "All of a sudden I felt this explosion in my head. I thought I was having a stroke because I just felt something go off."

"He leaned down next to me, asked, 'How many fingers?' Then he just starts his comedy routine. He lifted my shirt. He gave me belly-tickles. He was great! If you're going to get hit in the head by a ball it might as well be Bill Murray, who is the reason I was out here to begin with."

Bill, who was taking part in the Outback Pro-Am, insisted Gayle was happy after the accident because he came to see her.
