Farrah Fawcett to Throw Ryan O'Neal a Birthday Party

Amid her battle with cancer, actress Farrah Fawcett is planning a bash for her longtime companion, Ryan O’Neal.

Citing Fawcett's friend Alana Stewart, People.com reports that Fawcett will throw a party in honor of O'Neal's 68th birthday on Monday evening.

"There will be cake and champagne," Stewart tells the Web site. "Ryan has really been there for Farrah in such a wonderful way."

As for the Fawcett's current health condition, Stewart says, "I just saw her last night and she looked better." The actress' friend also adds, "She had color in her face and was talking and laughing."

Stewart goes on to tell People.com how Fawcett and O'Neal are dealing with the recent troubles surrounding their son, Redmond O'Neal.

"They are hoping for the best outcome for Redmond," says Stewart. "He's not a hardened criminal by any means. He's a kid with a drug problem, who is very much wanting to get sober and have a life. Redmond is a sweet, funny bright kid and he and his mother are very, very close."
