Melissa and Tony danced the Argentine Tango. Bruno wanted to see the maneater in her come out so Tony took her to get tips from Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher. They had the highest score of the night with a 29. Carrie Ann dubbed them the "King and Queen of Legal Lifts" saying it was the best Argentine Tango she'd seen all season. 10-9-10 were the scores from the judges.
Lawrence and Edyta took on the waltz tonight. He was hoping to bring out his soft side. Bruno said he got the romance part and it wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't brilliant. Edyta's dress, which Lawrence designed, got caught around her head at one point which tripped her up during the waltz-- (she's not used to all that material!) Scores were straight 7's giving them the lowest score of the night with a 21.
Lil Kim and Derek danced the rumba. Derek overthought his choreography hoping to get it technically right for Len. The judges were not impressed with Lil Kim holding back though ---Bruno said, "taking the raunch out of Lil Kim is like taking the tequila out of a margarita" They all told her to be herself and stick with what she knows, don't hide it. They scored 9-8-9 for a total of 26.
Chuck and Julianne heated up the dance floor with the samba. Seriously. I thought he would completely bomb on this dance but as Len said, it turned out to be his best dance so far. Their scores were straight 9's (which he was begging for in the practice tape) for a total of 27.
Ty was happy to be back to ballroom dancing this week. He and Chelsie danced a waltz and did a very good job. (so said Len) All compliments from the judges, they were 'happy to have the dancer back.' Bruno said it was the biggest comeback since Mickey Roarke and Len said 'there was more rise and fall than a bride's nightie!' Scores were straight 8's--24 total.
Shawn spent much of the week traveling and accepting awards so she had little time to practice for the cha cha but she and Mark nailed it during the live show. "Flamboyant and vibrant"---Bruno shouted. Scores were 9, 9, 10. Total-28. (second place)
Gilles and Cheryl toned it down with their Viennese Waltz. Carrie Ann said he was the most graceful dancer she's seen on the show--straight 9's, total 27. (tied with Chuck and Julianne)
The contestants also performed a 60's themed group dance. (video below) Bottom two couples on the leaderboard are Ty and Chelsie, followed by Lawrence and Edtya.
Results show will include a performance from Natasha Bedingfield.

Is it fair that stars with the lowest scores aren't necessarily eliminated on DWTS?
