Global Music Sales Down 8%
The 24% increase in digital formats like MP3s and ringtones did not offset the decline in physical formats like CDs and vinyl sufficiently, resulting in a net decline of 8% in global music sales. Considering the declines experienced by other industries of late, it is not too bad.
