“We can’t afford to keep returning to the same old tired ideas
and expect a different result,” the Democrat told supporters in
his three-minute YouTube announcement, part of the unprecedented
“virtual fly-around” campaign announcement done entirely in the
new media.
A: San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, 41, today announced via his website (because he’s oh so savvy), , that he will be running for governor. I’m just getting wind of this now, and Lynn could care less, but I think he’s got a chance. Isn’t this exciting? We could possible trade in an actor for a do-er, wouldn’t that be amazing? This gives us political gays something to fight for this year.
I will admit that Gavin does have a reputation for being a bit overzealous but that’s what we gays love about him. He always gives us a show, and at the end of the day isn’t politics just Hollywood for dorks?
Gavin has called it his “2.0 campaign” for the 2010 Democratic nomination, and he’s a canidate of the computer so follow him/donate on Twitter, or check out his Facebook, because that’s how he rolls out a campaign in 2010 old farties.
