FHM announced the results of their annual poll of 100 Sexiest Women 2009 that’s topped by British WAG beauty, Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole.

And what a woman - no one but Cheryl has the looks, the body, the talent or the no-nonsense Geordie sense of fun,” FHM editor Chris Bell said. “She’s dominated British TV screens, the UK charts and the tabloids for the last year - and now, finally, she’s been recognized as a truly international beauty. Never mind the bandmates: Cheryl is FHM’s No.1.”
It’s been three years since a British girl won the poll that marks its 15th anniversary this year. In 2006 curvaceous Keeley Hazell was chosen the sexiest woman on the planet but next year she was beaten by her over-the-seas rival.
Some 10 million votes were cast by FHM readers worldwide this year to choose the world’s sexiest girl 2009.
Cheryl Cole managed to overthrow last year’s winner Megan Fox, who now secures the second place.
