  • Why can't every animal lover lobby their congressmen or law makers to BAN these mills altogether - it is so disgusting especially in a lst world country. I live in S,Afica and I've never come across such a barbaric practice as seen on programmes of the terrible puppy mills in the States - I have never seen the dog whisperer on Nat Geo here - and certainly hope to one day I first heard about the puppy mills on an Oprah show and that is the sort of publicity that is needed - Has Ellen DeGeneres ever had a show featuring puppy mills ? it would reach a large audience - people need to be made aware of the hideous cruelty involved.

  • I cannot watch this program in Canada as our National Geographic channel does not carry the same content as in the U.S. But I shall watch for it on Cesar's shows, as I agree thoroughly that puppy & kitten sales in pet shops should be outlawed to end this tragedy of puppy mill lives. Puppy mills should be outlawed - even limiting the number of adult dogs and puppies a Breeder can have would severely reduce the number of puppy mills, as they deal in "volume", not quality of life for these poor animals. If the U.S. were to change their Laws, I'm sure Canada would soon follow suit. I hope something is done soon to end this abuse of these poor animals.

  • HOW CAN A ILLEGAL ALIEN JUDGE PUPPY MILLS? SEEMS LIKE HE SHOULD MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS

  • YES, your comments are so true....God Bless you for trying to add your knowledge and educate people further!!!

We must demand laws in every state in this nation that will shut down these factory farm breeding operations!!!!!

I havent seen this Ceasar episode yet, but my God, I hope he offers suggestions as to how we as a nation can band together to curb demand for pet store puppies and shut down these criminal operations once and for all!!

Get ANGRY people--get VERY ANGRY. Let's do something together to stop this madness!

  • This is a HUGE part of the problem---Ceasar tells people not to buy puppies from puppy mills, but VERY RARELY does a family buy a dog directly from a mill, they buy them from the middle man---THE PET SHOP....

So the education that needs to be done is to SHOW people where these Pet Shop puppies COME FROM, and that it is all about the money for huge operations like Petland.

We are a nation of dog lovers, and we cannot stand for this!! We must root these mills out across the land, and demand laws that will close them down!!

  • THANK YOU Ceasar!!

    PEOPLE!!!

We must educate our nation of dog lovers and band together to STOP the torture of dogs in puppy mills across America!!

Contact your legislators and don't EVER buy a puppy from a pet store or "puppy store"....No matter what they tell you, they all come from mills like this.

Heart breakingly sad--We must DO SOMETHING to change this!

  • How can the "human race" allow such horrendous treatment of innocent creatures. Laws have to be enacted "now" to improve the conditions at these cold torturous facilities. When will we speak up for those who cannot.

  • The neglect, abuse, fear, and premature deaths are unbelievable. Thank YOU Cesar and everyone involved in helping expose the mills and the criminals that torture our beloved companions to the naive public!

  • One day we will look back with horror & disbelief at how our society treated its animals. We will wonder how we were capable of letting such cruelty continue.Mean while, lets keep inspiring each other to tell and to teach someone. Elaine @ PomRescue.com

  • This is a rather dissappointing bit on puppymills. This facility is way better than most animal shelters. Nobody criticizes them, everybody says 'rescue" or "adopt" from animal shelters, but animal shelters are horrific. this is the meat of this story
"Not to judge when he knew what they were doing is wrong

In order for me to help or influence them
He saw a dog that was blind, many dogs in one kennel,
he felt frustration, confusion, aggression, anxiety

    to recover to feel safe
A dog that came from a puppy mill …..
this is their background their parents have no idea about normal life
    puppies will inherit that behaviour"

He hasn't defined what he thinks is wrong, but he says this is wrong. He wants to influence them, (I don't think he is qualified to do that, puppies may learn the behaviour of their mother in these conditions, but I doubt they will 'inherit' it. That is a fallacy. This is an environmental thing and can be overcome.

I don't approve of puppy mills, but this one shown is a palace compared to what is really out there - and those will never let a film crew inside.
