The Associated Press reports that the singer's lawyer, Donald Etra, filed a motion this week asking that a pair of earrings and three rings worth a total of $1.4 million be returned to the singer.
Etra alleges that the singer was wearing the accoutrements on the night she was allegedly beaten by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, and that the jewelry was seized as evidence.
Four companies who lent the jewelry to the singer to wear to a pre-Grammy party she had attended the night of Brown's alleged attack want their property back, according to the AP.
Brown was charged with two felonies related to the incident and has pled not guilty.
