Shanna Moakler Speaks Out Against California’s Prop 8 Ban on Gay Marriage

Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler who had mentored Miss California Carrie Prejean agreed to do a new ad slamming the ban on gay marriage in California, according to Contact Music. As mentioned before, Miss California Carrie Prejean was asked by judge Perez Hilton how she felt about marriage between a man and a woman and revealed she’s against it which ultimately cost her the title.

Shanna was “appalled” by Prejean’s answer and told Usmagazine.com:

“I believe Prop 8 (the ballot proposition outlawing same-sex marriage) led a campaign of confusion and never made clear what was being asked of the people.

I find most people have a problem with the word marriage. What I hope for is helping others understand ‘civil union’ and then one day helping people learn ‘marriage’ is something not God, not the state or country can solidify, but between two people who love each other (sic).”

Wow, I never knew Shanna was that bright, but Shanna, You Go Girl!

  • This girl Shanna really has sold her soul, I don't even live in California and I knew what Prop.8 was about. Get over it, the people voted and they don't want gay marriage. Great site backamerica.net
