The Samantha Who? star -- and breast cancer survivor -- claims the coveted cover spot on People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful issue this year.
In her first interview since having reconstructive surgery in November (she had a double mastectomy in July), the actress says she her life-threatening battle has given her a "feeling of purpose."
"I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s," Christina said. "Now I'm not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation."
Along with having an incredibly supportive boyfriend, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, who she calls an "angel," Christina has found the strength to push through the hard times and find a way to love her new body.
"You have to get through the physical transformations then buck up, go to work and try to be the normal, happy Christina for everyone around you," she says.
Beautiful? Indeed. Strong? Abso-freakin'-lutely.
