ATLANTA (AP) — Grammy-winning R&B singer Usher is unveiling a childhood photo that will appear on billboards as part of a national campaign for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The organization's campaign, "Be Great," urges people to become more aware of how beneficial the club can be for youngsters. The singer's picture as a 7-year-old will adorn billboards with a "Be Iconic" theme.

It will appear nationwide at airports and in public service announcements.

The 30-year-old Usher joins five others with childhood photo billboards for the club. They are Denzel Washington, Shaquille O'Neal, Martin Sheen, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Gen. Wesley Clark.
