Hollywood honors Tom Hanks

is one of my favorite actors. He’s talented, he’s natural, he’s original, he’s a “quintessential actor” as noted.

Hollywood actors and directors paid tribute to two-time winner at the special gala event that honored Forrest Gump actor for a lifetime of career accomplishments at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s annual gala tribute on Monday night.

Dapper clad arrived with his wife Rita Wilson. With all respect, her dress sucks.

’ son, Colin Hanks, also attended. I like Colin as an actor, you? Maybe he’s still not that bright and outstanding as his dad but think it’s the matter of experience.

The gala event was hosted by Duplicity star and all American Sweetheart, . She arrived without her husband wearing a white Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress that reminds me of style.

He does everything from the campy comedies like Bosom Buddies to Cast Away. Everyone asks what Tom is like. He’s what you want him to be” the actress said.

I loved ’s look. She chose a demure lacy black dress that stressed her toned body and her long legs.

Besides the fact that I’m a massive fan, I feel like I got interested in acting because of him and watching his work,” Charlize said of Hanks. “Getting the chance to work with him and getting to know him a little bit made me realize that there’s something about him that is so genuine and sweet, and just sincere.”

The star-studded party was also attended by director , actress , Angels & Demons director Ron Howard, supermodel , Bruce Springsteen, , and others.

joined the line of other Hollywood legends who have previously been honored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, such as Meryl Streep, , , , , and Charlie Chaplin.

’ latest film, Angels & Demons will hit theatres on May 15. Check out the trailer here.
