Twilight leads the show, however, with seven nominations, including "Best Movie," "Best Female Performance" (Kristen Stewart) and "Breakthrough Performance Male" (Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner).
Slumdog Millionaire follows, with six nominations, including "Best Movie."

Also vying for the honor? The Dark Knight, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Iron Man.
Late actor Heath Ledger also earned a "Best Villain" nomination for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight.

Votes can be cast online through May 27 for all categories except "Best Movie." Voting in that category will remain open through the live show, airing May 31 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Andy Samberg serves as host.
