Gibson wa with divorce papers by his wife earlier this week, a month after he was reportedly pictured on a beach with a woman identified only as Oksana.
He was also reported to have spent time with the woman, said to be a Russian musician, on the Boston shoot of his new film Edge of Darkness.
A US gossip website has named the mystery woman as Oksana Grigorieva, who reportedly has a child with Timothy Dalton.
The daughter of music teachers, Grigorieva attended the Royal College of Music in London and met Dalton at a movie premiere. They became romantically involved and had a child together, but never married, reported Radar Online.
