Boob Job Doesn't Sink Miss California's Platform, Says Anti-Gay Marriage Group

(AP) Last week, after news that Miss California had a boob job funded by the Miss California pageant organization, I got to thinking about the obvious contradictions embodied in Carrie Prejean's tiny (yet newly shapely) figure. We wouldn't be talking about Prejean at all if she hadn't come out for "opposite marriage" (which the rest of us should understand as her disapproval of same-sex unions) during the Miss USA pageant. To be fair, Prejean was specifically asked about equal marriage rights by pageant judge Perez Hilton and in the first flush of reaction following her statement, I wasn't able to muster much more than a shrug for Prejean. She had voiced her opinion. Sure, it was oddly syntaxed and dripping with patriotism and I don't agree with her, but plenty of people do and she didn't say anything particularly inflammatory.
