Ryan Reynolds Set to Star in 'X-Men' Spinoff

'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' just hit theaters last weekend but Twentieth Century Fox is already developing a spin-off with Ryan Reynold's character Deadpool -- read on for more details.

 

Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson, a man dying of cancer who becomes the indestructible antagonist Deadpool after subjecting himself to the Weapon X genetic transformation experiment, Variety says.

According to the trade paper, Fox is also working on a 'Wolverine' sequel and a film about the X-Men villain Magneto.

  • 1. the x-men franchise needs to be re-vamped. there's to much that they got wrong and not enough that was right. these movies AREN'T for comic fans.
    2. no one cares about the origin of deadpool, because he was a nobody before he got his power.
