Which is why I feel for Kirstie Alley. The actress and former Jenny Craig spokeswomen has admittedly put on 83 lbs, after losing 75 with the program in 2005.
"I started screaming," Kirstie said, of stepping on the scale for the first time in 15 months. "It said 228 lbs., which is my highest weight ever. I was so much more disgusting than I thought!"
Kirstie knows where she went wrong since leaving Jenny Craig in 2007. "I fell off the horse," she tells People.com. Kirstie says she stopped exercising, stopped watching what she ate and began chowing down Chinese takeout and pasta with butter (yum!).
But now she says she's ready to do it again -- ready to get back into those skinny jeans.
"I'm ready to work. I messed up along the way, but I'm not going to concentrate on that. I'm gonna go, 'You know what? Get back on the horse, lose the freakin' weight, and then just move forward!'"
Imagine what is was like for Kirstie to see Jenny Craig's new spokeswoman, Valerie Bertinelli's, slammin' new figure -- it had to be hard.
Let's wish Kirstie the best of luck -- Lord knows most of us have been at the pasta-and-butter-eating-stage at one time or another.
