Padma Lakshmi jewelry line

The jewelry collection, called “Padma” mixes Padma Lakshmi ’s love for food and fashion. The shapes are inspired by things like cardamom, seeds and pods, lentils, cloves, as well as by her Indian heritage.

Officially launched on Friday, May 1, and is being sold only at Bergdorf Goodman.

The line consists of 40 pieces: the cuffs, necklaces, rings and earrings… ranging from $600 to $6,600.

Padma Lakshmi said:

I’ve always loved jewelry and have collected pieces from my grandmother and aunts,

In hunting for the most precious spices, I found the shapes of seeds and pods exquisite, a purity of proportion and form that had an inherent sensuality to them.”
