Gretchen Wilson hopes to make up with mom

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gretchen Wilson and her mother haven't spoken in a few years, but she's hoping to change that on Sunday.

Wilson has written about her difficult family relationship in the past. She's said her mother became addicted to alcohol and drugs after enduring domestic violence.

Wilson says as far as she knows things are going a lot better with her mom's life than they were previously, and she might try to "reconnect" with her this Mother's Day with a phone call.
