Ryan, in an interview with Meredith Vieira that is set to air on the "Today" show on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14, says of his longtime love Farrah: "She's the rock. She taught us all how to cope. She's extraordinary. I don't know what I'll do without her, to tell you the truth."
When Meredith asks him to describe his 17-year-long relationship with Farrah, he says, "I don't think I can now. I know this, that in the last two years I loved her more than I've ever loved her -- ever. She's so much more of a woman and powerful, courageous, fearless and all those adjectives. And I look at her with awe."
He says that he and Redmond, his son with Farrah, realized that she was going downhill in her battle with cancer during a walk on the beach: "The first time I ever noticed, I walked with her and Redmond on the beach one day. We used to take that walk all the time to the rocks and back. And halfway there she stopped and said: Can we go back? And Red and I looked at each other and we knew that... See she could fool you because she always looked good. She looked really good. And he used to say to me: She'll be all right. Look how nice she looks."
For more with Ryan, as well as Farrah's best friend Alana Stewart, tune in to the "Today" show later this week.
