Needless to say the winner of this award will have film distributors stretching as far as the eye can see in most cases to showcase the film in the real commerical world. Directors at this years festival include Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee and Pedro Almodovar and Jane Campion, Ken Loach, Michael Haneke and Park Chan-wook. Strong Euro presence at this particular Cannes Festival, a light American presence and a quite bit of a showing from the Asian Countries.

First film and the opener to this festival was an animation film designed for children and adults alike from the famous Pixar Studios who created the succesful Wall E animated film amongst many others, and this film goes by the very short title of “Up”
