Broadway's 'Desire Under the Elms' sets closing

The Associated Press
NEW YORK (AP) — It's curtains next week for the Broadway revival of "Desire Under the Elms."

Producer Jeffrey Richards says the Eugene O'Neill drama will close May 24 at the St. James Theatre after a run of 32 performances.

The production received wildly divergent notices, with some critics loving and others disliking the show. It also came up empty-handed when Tony nominations were announced last week.

"Desire Under the Elms" stars Brian Dennehy (DEN'-a-hee), Carla Gugino (goo-JEAN'-oh) and Pablo Schreiber.
